Winners Here! Get Your Winners! has landed an exclusive interview with Baron Sinklewitz, the purveyor of, the horserace handicapping website that launched last week. Baron, thanks for the time. How did you get involved with racing and what led you to launch this website?

Baron: I worked on Wall Street for almost 27 years, but horse racing was always my hobby. About 10 years ago, due to circumstances beyond my control, I left the stock market and devoted myself full time to racing. The selections I post on the website are the culmination of that last 10 years of studying the game and coming up with a winning formula. We noticed the e-mail you sent out Monday said you had eight of the nine winners on Sunday’s card at Santa Anita, including seven exactas, six trifectas and four of the superfectas. That was in addition to six Pick 3s, a Pick 4 and the Pick 5.

Baron: Yes, it was a very good day for the Santa Anita selections. We have to say that we went to the website after that and noticed that you give out five horses in every race and are taking credit if any of them win, and the exacta, trifecta or superfecta if the winning combination is among that group. You also have five horses in every horizontal bet like the Pick 3 … do you think that’s fair?

Baron: I’m only doing what many other racing handicappers do, except I’ve expanded it a bit from three horses to five per race. We also noticed that you have a short comment for each horse that says something nice about that runner. What is the reason for that?

Baron: That is so I can say, for instance, if a 50-1 shot wins the race that I said something positive about them. I got the idea from TVG – you know like when a longshot wins and somebody says, “Todd, you mentioned that horse!” By the way, when you were on Wall Street, what firm did you work for?

Baron: Madoff Securities.
